Hi Marie!

That sounds like an excellent approach. You can't always make everyone happy, but you can satisfy yourself and hopefully your higher power, whatever that looks like to you.

Thanks for commenting!

Hi Charity! I've been in that position, as well. I grew up thinking the pinnacle of success was becoming a famous actor (me and every other kid, right?) I studied theater in school, and then realized I had no desire to pursue acting as a career. I didn't want to live life always looking for the next gig, and I'd never in a million years want to lose my anonymity.

I miss performing, so I may look into community theater auditions. But I don't actually need more than that to feel happy.

Thank you for the kind words! I love writing these posts.

Lori-
Wow, this post and the one before it are fantastic. It seems like these 4 different areas will have a pretty broad reach as far as readers being able to relate. I only found tinybuddha today and I love it. It goes right along with much of what I am working on myself and trying to help others to do as well. Thanks so much and keep it up, I will be back!

Hi, Lori -

These are very do-able suggestions -- and important ones. I find it helpful to remind myself to answer only to myself and to God -- if I happen to please and satisfy anyone else along the way, well, that's a bonus.

Thanks for sharing with us!

- Marie (Coming Out of the Trees)
