“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” -Einstein

You can always find a million excuses to stagnate, in every area of your life. You don’t feel confident yet. You’ll be less scared when you think things through. You’re not sure exactly what you want.

Any of this might be true–still it’s all just an excuse to sit on the sidelines, waiting for the right time to live out loud.

Forward momentum naturally involves a level of discomfort; try as you may to prepare, you never really know what’s coming next. But that’s the irony of staying stuck: for a while it feels like a happy alternative to embracing the unknown, until you eventually realize the certainty you know is a shadow of what your life could be.

And that as scary as what’s up ahead may be, you want to know what’s there.

Take a break if you need to. Disconnect. Recharge. Get your bearings. But be sure to ask yourself this question: after I reconnect with myself, what can I do to keep moving forward?
