“A man is not old until regrets take the place of his dreams.” -Proverb
When you walk around wondering what could have been if only you did things differently, you kill three birds with one stone:
- You view the past negatively, instead of seeing what you learned and how you grew from experiences.
- You color your present with anxiety, instead of living it mindfully and allowing yourself to feel happy.
- You head into the future believing it isn’t good enough, instead of creating it moment to moment.
Today if you start feeling regretful, ask yourself this question: What am I actually accomplishing? And next: What could I accomplish instead if I focused on the good things I can do right now?
