“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.” -Japanese Proverb

Nothing is sadder than waking up one day and realizing you’ve been lying to yourself. That you thought you were enacting positive change, but really you were just thinking about it. Or you imagined you were chasing a dream that would fulfill you, but you were really following someone else’s vision.

Everyone has the same ability to visualize a future and move in that direction. We encounter different challenges, both physical and emotional, but we all have the same capacity to imagine a possibility and work toward it. What separates us is the courage to take that risk.

It is a risk, because once you know what you want to do you can either motivate yourself to do it or acknowledge you’re too scared–and go back to daydreaming.
