People sometimes think peace is dependent on external conditions. That you might experience it if other people were kinder to each other. Or if your life required less struggle. Or if there wasn’t any suffering in the world.
There will never be a time when everything and everyone around you is peaceful. If you pin your state of mind to everyone else’s you’ll always be at the mercy of their feelings and actions. And you’ll likely find yourself trapped in an endless state of reacting instead of acting to create life as you want to experience it.
