I’m too old to change my ways. It’s too late to do what I dreamed of doing. I’ve gone too far to turn back.

None of these statements have to be true. You don’t have to carry your past like a weight that holds you down, keeping you stuck in a world or way of being you don’t love.

You can become a new person at any moment in time by simply deciding: this is who I want to be, and this is first step I’m going to take to do it.

This moment doesn’t have to hinge on a million moments before. It can be entirely new–if you’re willing to think and act in entirely new ways.
