“It is necessary to combine knowledge born from study with sincere practice in our daily lives. These two must go together.” -Dalai Lama
English Philosopher Francis Bacon was wrong–knowledge isn’t power. The only power we have is in our choice of action.
You can read a million blog posts about motivation. It won’t write your first novel for you.
You can fill your Amazon cart with books about forgiveness. It won’t show your father you’ve let go of your anger.
You can chat with hundreds of people on Twitter about success. It won’t encourage your boss to promote you.
Whatever you’ve been studying, take a break to put it in practice today. Even if you still have more to learn; especially if you still have more to learn. Power is doing—not preparing to do–and in doing, you’ll learn even more.
