Tiny Wisdom: On Living

“It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.” -Eckhart Tolle

In The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle talks a lot about our tendency to avoid the present, looking toward a future when everything will magically be OK. When you’ll have a better job and money for a bigger house. When you’ll have the perfect relationship and feel more complete. When everything will be just plain better.

The only problem is that tomorrow never comes. All we ever have is now, and the next now, and the next. Now is our chance to live. Now is our chance to be happy. Have you been waiting for something down the road instead of embracing and maximizing your present?
