Do you ever catch yourself being a reflective state, weather it’s post meditation or just laying down outside, and realize that your also catching a lot of negative feedback based on your daily thoughts or ideas? Not that’s its necessarily “bad” or “good” but moreso an added introspective in your conscious ? Almost on par to the “coming down” feeling but getting some very humbling feelings out of it, almost like an ego killer

    Bobby,

Lol, yes, pride killer, or the blossoming of humility. “Haha! Look at what we have yet to learn!” Just don’t let it cycle back into shame, as most of us are quite a mess before we find our balance. Breathe, be done. Like, letting the noticing happen without holding it, and it flows out the back door. For me, laughter comes next, seeing myself like a part time pinball. 🙂

    With warmth,

“Look at what we have yet to learn”. that’s a really good one, I’ll try to remember that one and incorporate it. Yeah it is crazy how much of a mess we can be sometimes, especially those able to reach higher levels of consciousness and self awareness, You seriously learn Ignorance is Bliss to be true, but I feel you do need to incorporate it occasionally, but maybe more on the lines of peacefulness but I feel even that has parts of Ignorance in it

It reminds me of Sakyong Mipham describing beginning meditators saying “my mind was never this crazy before!” but really, the crazy was there the whole time, ignorant bliss undercut by it, controlled, seemingly randomly arising, subject to “just perfect” external conditions, and so on and so forth. If we cut the envy, and simply rest in the space, the compassion to accept even the flapping Bobby cools the regret. 😛
