Thanks in advance for reading this; I hope you might be able to help. Basically, in a nutshell, I am mum to a lovely 17 year old son and been married for 20 years; home life is fine, no major worries. Son is off to university next year and I’m already seriously worrying about him, his safety, finances, friends etc.
An ex employee has asked to see her personnel file despite resigning 12 months ago and I’m worried sick about her reasons for doing this. She wasn’t a good employee and when I had to meet with her to discuss my concerns she went off sick the day after and subsequently resigned. So I’m constantly fretting about this.
My parents are both suffering health problems and deteriorating so I’m caring for and worrying about them.
Generally, everything feels like it’s happening at once and it’s far too much to cope with.
I’ve “dabbled” with depression several times since post natal depression kicked me up the backside and left my dangling but have picked up and gone down a few times since then.
Sorry if I’ve bored you and thanks.

    Dear missloobs:

Reads to me that you are describing anxiety, recent increased anxiety. Anxiety is that ongoing fear circulating in the brain looking for a place to “nest”- so, in your case, it is nesting, at times, in your son’s future. At other times, in your parents’ deteriorating health/ aging, and at other times in the employee’s files.

Changes increase anxiety: son going to college, parents aging.

Looking back at your life, do you see where or when your anxiety originated, where it nested before, the history of it?
