    Hello,
After many years of reading and enjoying Buddhist (Zen) thought I have started to become more active in my community zen center.

I met with one of the priest today to gain some personal insight into my meditation (zazen) practice and I would like to send him a personal thank you and followup to our discussion.

My question is, with all the interpersonal reverence in person (bowing, gasshō, etc.) how do I address him in correspondence (email) showing due respect without going overboard? Typical parlance does not seem appropriate; I’m a little stuck.

    Suggestions?
