I am an artist and designer hoping to sell my art online – it is very difficult to make a living being an artist but I don’t believe it’s impossible. I have tried before and I’ve managed to sell a few of my handmade books but not really enough to make a steady income.

The thing I find the most problematic is the promotion side of things – I have tried before but it doesn’t seem to be working as much as I would like. I have tried promoting my stuff through Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. Instagram seems to be the main one I use these days because I wasn’t really getting any results over on Facebook.

Are there any freelance artists and designers on here that could give me some advice and tips on how I should go about promoting my art and my handmade gifts? Do you make use of all the social media platforms or is it better to just focus on one? How do you manage to juggle using all of them? I prefer Instagram, I have had more success on Instagram than on the others (I say more success but I still only have something like 68 followers and I’ve had my Instagram for 2 years now)

    Thankyou

    Joe
