I met a guy online. Well I met two decent guys online via OkCupid. One of them travels for work and isn’t always in my current state. In fact, he’s only here once every two months. This guy and I have a pretty decent rapport so far… We have much in common, want the same things. Because he’s not here, we haven’t even gotten a chance to meet. Then there’s guy #2, we also have a great rapport, because he’s here and we’ve met. Things are shaky with guy #2 sometimes. A part of me wants to fall back and leave them both alone, but I enjoy talking to guy #1, who travels, but I wanr to date guy#2. Because guy#1 and I have never met, how do I tell him (after 3 months of talking) that I am seeing someone on a serious tip, and unfortunately cant keep talking to him… What do I say?? I know this is best said over the phone

    Hi PryingMiMi,

I would say, “I’m seeing someone.” This will go less awkwardly than you might imagine. He will say, “Oh! Well, OK then! Congratulations!” and maybe you guys can be friends and meet up AS friends one day. (Hey, it does happen!)

However, I would first make sure Guy #2 is the Real Deal. Tell Guy 2, “I’ve been talking to someone even before we met, and he wants to meet. But I don’t want to tell him I’m seeing anyone unless we’re actually Official.” He will either immediately confirm your relationship, or he will get a little pissy. But this conversation first needs to happen.

If Guy #2 hems and haws, or won’t commit, keep talking to and even meet up with Guy #1. And you won’t even have to tell the two guys anything!

    Best,

    Inky

Just be honest!! Explain to him that you are seeing someone right now, and it is just hard to have a relationship with him at this point because of his traveling, but however I feel that you should at least know you’ll receive some form of commitment from guy #2. Because if you don’t, and you are searching for a relationship, you may not receive one from him, and lose your chance with guy #1.

Can you help me maybe on my topic?
