    Competent? Competent in what?
    Team player?
    Good listener?
    Good social skills?
    Leadership potential?
    Tough, not too sensitive?
Pride in a job well done

    You are an empath..
    You care about other people…
You want to make a difference

OK to answer my own question…

humour occasionally but gee I’ve been in an unfunny mood lately. I can’t even laugh at my lack of humour. I’m humourless! 🙂

    Dear humourless Jack:

It is okay to run out of humor. It is okay to not be funny. It is okay to just be… humourless Jack-

And what do I have to offer this Tiny Buddha society, is that your question Jack? What society otherwise?

You’ve had a bloody hard life but you survived.
You’ve learnt a lot and fortunately, you still have a heart.
You’re an empath. An excellent empath, who is doing a mighty job on here.
Maybe you should make your skill/talent available to a wider base than just TB.

    Dear Jack:

First thing I read this morning, how … what is the word? Kind is one word, kind of you. A wider base that just TB, you wrote. What might this wider base be?

    Dear Jack:

I think I am good here on this website, not looking for bigger. Regarding volunteering to save lives of suicidal people, worthy work often enough. But what if I am saving the life of a child abuser who instead of offing himself or herself that particular night will go back to the place where he or she is torturing and damaging an innocent child, day after day, night after night? I don’t know if I could live with myself in that case.

Not all people should be saved.

have 33 years lan in NA. I know how to get people clean. But now Drug Court is the source of all of our newcomers. Drug Court puts them on antidepressants and tells them how to work the NA program. Its impossible to work with these people as they are listening to Drug Court as it has the power to send them to prison.

Its really frustrating. I have tried to work with them but with no luck.

And none of them ever make it. Drug Court is a seth sentence. Oh yea, a few make it for a year or more but never long term. Not one.
