The best future possible was to earn as much as possible so my family does not fall out on the streets. That was it , i did not think about who i would live with. Marriage never crossed my mind. I don’t think back then i realized i would be put through that. I expected my mother to have different views, as we had anyways broken the mould as a family. My father could not be the reliable centre, she obviously should have been able to see that marriage is not neccessary.
