I mean, she often didn’t want you and your sister in the house (encouraged the two of you to visit friends, wanted shorter summer vacations at school so that you spend time in school, not at home, sent you to summer camp), and she wanted your father to leave as early as possible in the mornings to his work… so that she will be alone in the house.
