First, there are lots of people who are flakey, unreliable, undependable, who do not keep their word, etc. in various contexts. So not surprising that you come across some men like that in your dating experience.

Second, you mentioned “doing things” with those flakey men in the start of dating them. In the beginning of dating them, their attention may be divided between various women they date at the same time.

Maybe better you refrain from any sexual activity with any man until you learn the man is reliable and dependable and until you and him decide on dating each other exclusively.
