I know this comes a little late and probably by now your wife must have met the man, I hope things have changed and you guys are still together. I think you already have got some good replies from this community but on top of that I really want you to read this book called ‘Rational Male’. It’ll help you in understanding the emotional aspects of you marriage, your wife and yourself as well. No harm in looking it up. I really hope that your kids are coping up well in all this mess.
