Maybe it is time to visit a competent, quality psychiatrist this time, one who will spend enough time with you, over a few sessions perhaps,  in person, ask you questions, listen to your answers, diagnose you maybe, and suggest a different psychiatric medication, perhaps one of the SSRI drugs. These (some of the brand names are Prozac, Zoloft, Luvox and Lexapro) are way less addictive than Xanax.  SSRIs are prescribed not  only for depression but also  for OCD and other manifestations of anxiety.

I don’t think we talked about psychotherapy, did we???
