Dear LiamJames:

For me, your poem is beautiful (except for the God part):

“I am where I am/ It is what it is/ There is nothing to fix” – what a relief, nothing to fix.

“Be here now/ In the moment at hand/ Let the past rest/ It is a fantasy”- very well said. Let the past rest, no longer experiencing the past in the present, activated again and again, taking over the present. Seeing what-is as it is, without the confusing layers of distorted thinking and make-believe.

“Breathe  in life/ As deeply as I can/ There is no  need to rush”- no need to rush nature’s plan, for me, the plan that has been going on ever since nature came about.

“I survived all this time/ And I will continue/ With or  without you”- but like another poem, or song says: we are people who need people. We don’t need this or that person, but we need people.

“It is what it is/ I am where I am/ There is nothing to  fix”- indeed a relief, nothing for me to  fix and a whole lot that I cannot fix and therefore, I shouldn’t try to fix.. and fail to fix, once again and then again.

Thank you for this poem, LiamJames. I like it very much. As I submit this and bump it up to the top of the page, I hope other members enjoy it and comment.
