I am not aware of a disadvantage to you if you manage to contact a real owner (but I am not part of the business world, not on a local level and not on an international level, as in the case of Multinational Corporations (MNCs), other than a customer). If you are not aware of any significant disadvantage to you in contacting an owner in this context, do so!

You will know that at the least you did what you could do to help correct corruption. It is a shame, how much corruption (abuse of power for one’s private gain) there is in the world, in every town, city, country and often within homes. I wish it wasn’t so.
