Dear Reader:
Worldometer, Jan 6, 2021: yesterday in the US there were more than 233 thousand new cases, and 3,738 new deaths (the second highest number, first being 3,876 on Dec 30). Yesterday in the UK there were almost 61 thousand new cases (the highest number of new cases in all of the pandemic, a new record high), and 830 new deaths.
