Thank you very much for replying. I hadn’t thought of an inner critic expanding so that it became a voice and its such a simple explanation in a way, but profoundly helpful, so thank you for sharing this idea. And, yes, I have been under a lot of stress, and the voice does seem connected with stress, although sometimes I’m not sure what comes first – the stress or the voice.
