What a lovley response. Thank you so much! It makes my day to read something like that. I love your ‘our beauty doesn’t grow in that space’ line. It’s important to remember, when we come up against injustice like that – that it is not a reflection on us as individuals but rather a reflection on the person hurling the abuse. And if we can extend compassion then we can at least understand the foundation of the abuse. It doesn’t make it okay but it exposes it for what it is – the fingerprint of a very broken, sad person.
