My congratulations for making the wise choice on this one! The misery you most likely prevented- good job!

The fact that following your interview (not with an executive), you were immediately sent a contract tells me the process was automatic, entirely or for the most part. The fact that the contract did not include in it what the email did is further indication that you made the wise choice.

This was after all an opportunity for you that you did indeed take and succeed in taking: you did not dive in head first and so, my hat is off to you.
