Hi, Adhil: Having been in a similar situation, I feel like I can empathize to a point. My first comment is that unless someone is required to train you, it is your responsibility to figure it out. This may mean going to coursera.com or edx.com or buying a book, but it sounds like the people who work with you are still trying to figure it out as well, and if you come swinging with independence and enthusiasm for this opportunity to learn, it will look good and you will have a sense of accomplishment. You may also be able to help the next person who is confused. My second thought is this: good jobs are hard to find. You may or may not have found one. I don’t know. But I feel like it is worth putting yourself fully into this experience, even if it’s a bit scary, and making the decision from an informed, wise minded place.
