Dear Reader:

Worldometer, Dec 31: yesterday- there were over 234 thousand new cases in the U.S., and a new all-time pandemic record high of 3,880 new deaths.

Also yesterday- in the UK, there were over 50 thousand new cases (second highest all-time record high of new cases) and 981 new deaths (the current winter wave record high, almost as high as the all-time pandemic high of 1,166 new deaths on April 21).
