After playing music for about thirty years, I realized that pure improvisation, either solo or in an ensemble setting is the most rewarding process I could ever dream of participating. It flows in the pure reality of the present moment, and, because of that, it can be enjoyed fully at the deepest level. This intimate process bypass the mind even at the level of concentration, and allows attention to be the source and target points of energy. No recording of any kind, not even at the memory level. Like a mandala, once the process is finished, the product of the creative process is gone forever like colorful grains of sand in the wind. All that is left is pure love and joy.
