How exciting that you’ve come this far. It is my dream to go to medical school. I’m in the final year of college, but had a really rough year in terms of grades due to depression, personal illness, and a toxic relationship. It will be difficult to move on from here, but I am taking small steps to get back on track. I am determined. I got myself through high school and college as the first person to go to college in my family. It will be a long road, maybe need to get a masters degree or do a post-bac program to increase my chances of getting into medical school. I was lost for a long time, but keeping the end result in my mind has been helpful in maintaining momentum. Appreciating and celebrating how far i’ve come (no matter how small) keeps me motivated.
