    Dear friends,

This is my first post here. I am really happy joining this forum since Tiny Buddha articles are helping changing my life. But I still need some assistance.

I am in a process of focusing on what I can control and living today, learning with the past and planning the future.( not as easy as it sounds for me). But I am a day dreamer. Definitely. I get lost on thoughts all the time: during work, while driving ( hit my car last week because of it), while with other people, while with my girlfriend. I really can´t focus on something for too long and I soon start dream about everything: Imagining what I would do if I were that detective on CSI; Imagining what I would do if I caught my girl cheating on me; imagining who I would fire or hire if I were the boss. My imagination is extremely active and creative. My “dreams” go from being a super hero with super powers to self pity situations.

This bothers me a lot because I can´t focus on work, I can´t fully enjoy people company, I can´t enjoy my girl.

Is there someone like me? I need some advice or do I need professional help?

    Diego,

One of my teachers said that we have to give up our preoccupation with being entertained by our thoughts. Consider Ajaha Jayasaro’s counting breath instruction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03nifVj9pqI

Such a method is great to wake a daydreamer (agitated mind becoming concentrated).

    With warmth,
    Matt
