Thank you for your detailed response. I agree with what you’re saying, of course. It is a perspective I haven’t thought of. While my parents definitely made me unhappy I still for some reason thought of it as normal. Also, friends and I would complain about our parents and it seemed pretty normal then too. Of course, I didn’t tell them everything. My boyfriend recently lost a parent and tells me that I might regret not being there, which is something he struggles with. I am still debating what to do in the long run but I have no reason to see or talk to her in the near future. Do you think this caused the current relationship and sexual issues I now have?
