Thank you for your response. Just an update, I declined the job offer based on the above reasons. But now I’m having second thoughts because it is still, technically, a great opportunity and I have never been offered a job in this sector before, and there are some opportunities to learn more in this field and it is a very big company. At least it would make my CV stand out a bit more, and relocating looks tempting because I want my own space.

I am thinking of calling them back to ask them if the job is still opened, but I am worried that they may be offended I turned down the job because when they asked me why I turned down the offer I said (and perhaps I was being too honest) was that I felt a little uncomfortable with the job requirements (your performance is based on web hits and if you don’t meet the targets you would be questioned). The other thing that annoyed me was I was made to feel grateful they picked me though of course they didn’t say that directly. Also felt a little insulted when the employer implied I shouldn’t hope too much to land a job working in the big cities but to start regional.

Is it a good idea to ask them I have changed my mind? Or should I stick with my decision and just move on?
