Dear pete:
You were back to work the next day, my goodness, you are amazing! You say that you want to do High Intensity Training (HIT) when you recover. Online, I read that the fundamental principle of HIT is that exercise must be very intense, let’s say 20 seconds of running in place followed by 10 seconds of rest, no equipment is required. Is that it?
