Good Mindfulness Practice, humour: well done! Seems to me that your impulses to check your phone and resulting body sensations were the doings of your limbic system; your mindful noticing of your body sensations, and forgiving yourself were the doing of your prefrontal cortex. Mindfulness practice is about noticing the former without automatically reacting, and making logical, sensible choices using the latter.
