Dear Perry:

Was your childhood perfect? What was the nature of your relationship with your mother? Father? How is it now? Do you remember how you felt as a child? When you were hurt, were you alone with the hurt? Did any of your parents notice? Talk to you? Do you remember? Often children and adults claim their childhood was good, even great but it wasn’t so. It would be okay to hold on to such belief except that a person PAYS for not viewing their childhood as it truly was. So if you are still willing, look into your childhood and maybe you will answer my questions.
