Yes, I will continue to try to be helpful to you and I am most humble about the prospect. Yet, I am here. The more patient I am with you, the more patient I will be with myself, and so, I am attempting to help myself. You do have my patience.
This compulsive thinking is indeed a habit, a mental habit. Your ten day meditation course did not break the habit, only gave it a break, correct?
When you read the word “patience” there is a certain connection made in your brain, understanding this word. When you practice patience over time, you get to understand the word in ways you did not understand it before. It means you make new connections, with practice, with the new experiences of practicing patience. New learning, new connections you didn’t have before.
If you pursue learning, deeper than the superficial (bare intellect), you will get to deeper levels of learning. A word, such as patience, becomes different than what you know now. It becomes much more, and it becomes new. Same with empathy, and acceptance, and so much more.
