Dear Zenseeker74:
Your poetry is a delightful treat! Here are the lines I like the most:
“Slowly love opens her wings for you in the darkest of night.
Held safely and tightly in a warm embrace till mornings light.
Hold tight for soon she shall take flight.
You will fall even though you tried to hold on with all your might.”
All four of the first poem. Beautiful! Slowly love opens her wings …. in the darkest of night… till mornings light…
Hold tight for soon she shall take flight- WOW! I wonder if it is wise to hold tight if she is about to take flight… but it sure sounds good. Quiet pessimistic, but not unrealistic. And no wonder You will fall even though you tried to hold on with all your might. The Buddhist principle of non attachment comes to mind, not that i believe non attachment is possible but something to aim for: relaxing that tight hold.
“Everything Slipped like smoke thru my fingers.
Memories may fade but will always linger.”
I like Memories may fade but will always linger, yes… and the smoke through the fingers… deep stuff.
I didn’t understand the meaning of “All I have lost and all that is gone shall never be apart.” Can you explain?
And the last poem: “let it go and release all of your fears
life is a just collection of cries and cheers
a recollection of memories and dreams
nothing is truly what it seems
be mindful and let the positive energy stream …..”
Of course it is not easy and not even possible, says I, to release all of one’s fears, not for long and not once the strong narcotic wears out. Life is a collection of cries and cheers. For me, it is a lot of silence too. More and more so.
A pleasure, thank you!
