Dear Hareesh:

You wrote that it seems to you that life handed you the short end of the stick in every area. Who is Life? Life is not a person or a god that is handing people lives or destinies. There is a lot of random things going on. People randomly get born into this or that family, social/ economical/ political situation not of one’s choosing. Then things happen because of people choices all over the world. Some people in your family made and make choices that affect you very much and people in governments and in financial corporations, people you never met, they make choices that affect you.

There is no Life or Destiny, God or Universe… no such person that hands out lives and destinies. There is no such entity that decides to give one person a good life because they are worthy, and another person- a bad life because they are the “scum of the world.”

You find yourself in a situation, right this moment as you are reading these words, you are in a situation caused by thousands of random factors and … here you are. Now, what to do? The best you can with what you have, with the situation you are in.

You are worthy, valuable, important regardless of the situation you are in. The situation does not define you. Make the best of it today. Nothing grandiose, just better than you did a moment ago, yesterday.
