I agree with you that I can’t live with my mother anymore. The thing is that even in Prague I’m noticing these voices that are so ingrained in my head, voices of criticism and other stuff. I hope they melt away one day.

    Dear Lada:

There is work to be done. Like I wrote to you in my earlier post today, my healing is ongoing. There is more work to be done. And so it is for you- there is more work to be done. Enjoy your life as is right now; never live with your mother again. At some point, seek therapy with a competent, empathetic therapist. Keep your relationships with others healthy: Empathetic, Assertive, Respectful (EAR). When you hear the critical voices, let the voice of reason talk to you louder than those voices. Talk to yourself gently, lovingly.

    And do post anytime.

    Hello Anita,

you can pour yourself a glass of wine, I’ve moved into my own place (well, I have 5 other roommates, but they’re all young students). Things have been better though still hectic. I’ve dealt with school stuff, work (I changed my job), translating as a freelancer, money.. So I’m excited for the time everything settles down a bit. I’m glad to go to my old house once a week but eventually me and mom wil get into an argument about something so I’m always happy to leave as well. I was afraid to tell her the news, we had some huge fights in September. But I got her into thinking that I was staying at my boyfriend’s and after a week I told her the truth.

    How have you been?

    Dear Lada:

So very good to hear from you! Congratulations for moving to your own place (and not with your mother!) I am celebrating with an extra special, tasty coffee shake right now!

Every time you are leaving your mother, following an argument, is a good thing. Even better would be not to see or hear her at all, so to not get into arguments at all.

I am glad you dealt with school stuff, working in a new job and doing freelance work.

I am fine, thank you for asking. Still here on tiny buddha and still healing and learning.

Post again, it is a treat for me to see your thread coming back!
