Regarding “what to do when I feel discouraged”, you can make a list of things to do when feeling discouraged, taking a walk, listen to guided meditation, listen to music and so forth, a list of activities, that from your own experience, are helpful, calming. At any one time you can choose one of the activities.
Being armed with such a list (a list edited and updated over time according to your continuing experience) can do wonders for you.
