    Hello all,
Long distance relationships are literally so tough. It’s been an year since we got married. We got married after dating for 6 long years. But, post marriage,I got a good job offer in canada, and started working here. I shifted here soon after our marriage, because I had to join soon, and I this was my dream job, so couldn’t decline the offer. My husband also supported this decision, but now, it’s so difficult for us to be apart, we are just not able to live without each other. My husband is also planning to join me here in Canada, he will also look for some good job here. But, my doubt is regarding the visa and citizenship, since he is not a student, and looking for job, I don’t know how this will be possible. But, my friend was saying about some Express Immigration entry program,http://www.maxberger.ca/immigration-services/permanent-residence/express-entry/, which has been introduced recently, where applicants will be selected for settlement in Canada, and I really hope he gets through this program, because we can’t really be apart from each other for long. Has anyone heard of such a program? How does it actually work? Just want to be together asap. Can’t wait!!

    Dear justme00:

I am not familiar with immigration programs anywhere at this point. There are free legal immigration agencies in the U.S. Are there such in Canada? You may want to start there, free legal information from the legally qualified (immigration attorneys in Canada) and proceed maybe to hire legal service.

    Hello,

Indeed this program exists. Please, go to this Government of Canada website for information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/

Also, if you are married and have a Permanent Resident status in Canada, you can sponsor your husband under Family Class. More information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/

Let us know how it goes and all the best!
