I personally think that having an attitude of gratitude is the best way to make you happy.

Some people, including myself, don’t take the time sometimes to realize how life can be amazing and how lucky we are to be alive. Humans aren’t robots; someday, we are going to die. The truth is, I could die tomorrow like I could die in 50 years. That being said, you should always be grateful every day when you wake up just to to be in this world! In certain countries, like in Canada, some people forget that chance because of how easy it is for them to survive.

In relation with what I just said, some people will forget to be grateful because they don’t appreciate enough their circumstances or what they have. Take a step back in the past and think about how you would, as a kid, appreciate all the little things in life compared to now. Even thought we aren’t kids anymore, we need to take the time to appreciate what’s going on in our life.

Here’s my advice to you; when you feel that everything is going bad in the moment or even the opposite, take the time to reflect on how life can be amazing. Think about what you are grateful to have in your life, and in the future, make some effort to keep experiencing that wonderful feeling.

    Dear Jessie:

Thank you for starting this thread. All I have is today, this moment. This is a realistic thought, and it puts a lot of other thoughts in perspective. For example, why worry so much now, if now is all I have? Why worry about how I will experience life in the future, when how I experience life now is more important?

Pay attention to what is beautiful now: the sun coming out from between the clouds, the leaves gently blowing in the wind, a person’s kind gesture to you.
