Hello!
Well over a year ago, I asked for something very specific. I asked God to give me a sign about what my future husband did. I was feeling lonely and down about how the outlook of my life was. I was going out a limb…a sort of leap of faith. I was raised in a religious environment that told us that God did not work in miracles anymore (there were other things, like mental, spiritual, and emotional abuse that went on).
Anyways, we (my family…sorry, every time I talk about it, I always say ‘we,’ like people know I’m talking about my family) left when I was 14 and many years later, I had a pivotal religious experience that changed my life. I decided to speak to God and ask in faith. In that moment, I remember thinking, no matter what, he would answer. Even if it was ‘no’ or ‘wait.’
Everyday since then (well over a year later), I’ve seen one consistent sign. Everyday! It used to really freak me out and I tried for a long time to ignore it. But now, I notice it and accept it as a part of my daily experience.
The only thing is, is that I don’t feel like I can tell anyone about it, even my priest (even though he might understand).
I’m really sorry that I’m being blase about it…I just wanted to ask for advice while keeping it personal (as it feels personal)…does that make sense?
Is God telling me something? I know nothing is coincidence and this WAY to consistent to that.
Any advice and thoughts are welcome!
Thank you!
With Love,
NewLife

You are asking if the sign you see every day is god’s answer to you, correct?
My thoughts: Let’s say I asked god a question that requires a Yes or a No answer. Every day on my walk I see “No trespassing” signs. Every day. I could figure that is a sign from god that the answer is No… but maybe the signs are just No Trespassing signs and not god’s answer.
If I asked a god a question, I would appreciate a clear answer, so I don’t have to guess, be confused and unsure.

At first while reading the initial part of your post I planned to ask you of a way to communicate with God. I know few ways of them…nothing very specific…but few of those generic ways like writing a letter, asking for a sign, meditating and listening to the inner voice, and so forth.
But then I read that you do not want to expose about it so I won’t ask.But to answer your question…
“Is God telling me something?”What I got to know from ‘Conversations with God – By Neale Donald Walsch’…
If the answer you get is filled with joy, love, peace, happiness, freedom, clarity, a sense of calmness it is the Divine voice and not of the ego. It should make you feel uplifted.Because you are feeling freaked out and crazy, so not sure about what you are experiencing.
Or may be you should see what God is trying to tell you…Is s/he telling you that you are not the only child in this world to me? all others are also a part of me, would you like to share about this with the rest if it works for you so that all of humanity can benefit?
May be you can try sharing with someone very very close and see if there is any effect in your feelings. This is just my opinion, you may or may not do that, but if your anxious feelings (which has led you to ask a question here) reduces then you are on the right track.
When you understand that we are all interconnected and finally connected to the Divine Source then there won’t be feelings of competition or hiding anything from anyone. It will be all about caring and sharing.
Warm Regards,
