I’ll just share poems I’ve been writing whenever negativity hits me
Path to Enlightenment
Travel without destination
Filled with worries and hesitation
But when despair sinks in
Look not around but withinFor every fields you see
Every picturesque scenery
Lies beauty normally seen
With eyes unclouded, clearStop and stare
Walk without care
For it is in the journey you will find
Your destination, the meaning of lifeAnd remember to rest
Pause, do not fail the test
Periods are not meant for life
Just move on, continue the fightThe Leap
A leap of faith, that’s where greatness come. But the leap does not start nor end with the jump. It begins with one’s steps, gradually getting smaller until the ledge, until the divide that separates the present, to the what ifs, the unknown. And until enough force, be it courage, will power, hope or love, a person is stuck staring beyond from the other side. And when the jump is finally achieved, one may feel regret for the lost opportunity. But through time, through exploring the unknown, one will may finally find the soul’s treasure.
Behemoth
I stand weak, the titan before me
A mountain of fears, my thoughts consuming
I try as I might to climb, I stumble
To go beyond, not around, through I rumble
Swinging my fist, for sword I have not
To defeat this beast, even when hope is lost
Look to the eyes, the light of evil
When courage is lost, hope a dwindle
O what should I do
A revelation, beyond what lies
If I am not buried here but beyond
Beyond, that mountain my gravestone lies
Crossroad
Sudden and quick, i might have fallen
An eternity it seems, i have layed still
Yet my heart still not broken
Bruised, bleeding but beating, stillBehind I may be in their eyes
But no matter what i shall rise
Slow as it may be, like a turtle running free
If fine, I may get lost, but I’m still meFor all rivers flow to the sea
I’ll decide which stream I’ll be
People may dread roads less traveled by
But beyond the hill is a brand new skyYes be lost, surely you’ll find
There’s no rush, be friends with time
Find you mind, your heart, your will
And see, in the crossroads you’ll no longer be stillFreedom
Freedom is what I desire
Unchained from the walls that surround me
To break free from the slavery of my sins
Unshackled, unburdened, free from withinFree as the bird that soars in the sky
Riding the winds, no walls nor ceilings
Just clouds above and earth below
Yet free as it seems, shackled they are alsoFrom the earth they break free temporarily
They take flight, with strong wings, fighting gravity
And long as they can, they soar
Until their light bodies can be bear no moreAnd thus they land to the earth again
To rest, to nest and strength they regain
To eat, to mate, to follow their fate
Their shackles binding, yet they do not hateAnd just like everything in this world
Chains are what binds us, to death and life
Yet sometimes, these chains are but merely and illusion
Or an instrument to conquer one’s missionAnd I too must glide like an eagle
Following the flow of life’s winds
The path of least resistance, the lightning follows
And no longer shall I resist, fate I shall allowAnd these shackles I shall embrace
Study, know, the roots retrace
And I shall know where my problems lie
And try I will, until the day I dieFlame
All you wanted was to be free
To try and fly, to the eternal sky
Rest, and test the waters of the stream
The world, is an open park of dreamsYet all you ve done is make a cage
Blind yourself and bind yourself with balls and chains
The mystery, you heart so dear, burned in flames
Now you feel, theres no mending of the painFor so long you’ve tried to shine, brightly as the northern star
But you’ve never noticed how burned you are
Though light still shines, from far away
You know, inside, the light has died, no longer is there dayLittle Birds
For little birds can remember
The joys of the summer sky
Soaring through the azure
Almost no clouds in sightFor little birds can remember
The falling leaves signalling fall
Telling them to gather food and find shelter
For soon they wont fly much at allFor little birds can remember
The chilling wind that winter brings
The warmth of their bodies as they huddle for heat
The cold, keeping them in deep sleepFor little birds can remember
The promises that spring brings
Food, water, warmth, life
As if winter is just but a dreamSo as little birds remember this
Know that when you’re life is amiss
When joys are but memories of time long ago
And suffering is what you clearly know
Remember that after winter comes spring
And the winter of your heart will be but a dreamSeptember 11, 2017 at 6:31 am #168280AnonymousGuestDear Ataraxia:
Thank you for the poems.
I made a sort of collage of them, picking something I like from each:
Travel without destination. A leap of faith, that’s where greatness come. Look to the eyes.
Yet my heart still not broken; Bruised, bleeding but beating, still. There’s no rush, be friends with time. Find you mind, your heart, your will
Freedom is what I desire; Unchained from the walls that surround me. Shine, brightly as the northern star. Remember that after winter comes spring; And the winter of your heart will be but a dream.
