Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Life is always interesting when it comes to growing and evolving, especially when we once again meet with the past. It’s always about mindset and attitude, of how we deal with these types of things, so here it goes…
I recently re-connected with my X from (2009-2014) a few weeks ago and it went well, we spoke for awhile and the energy felt good and positive. We are currently neighbors and both live very busy lives and know we can live comfortably in the same area, without any issues. She expressed how she had been living in another country briefly and so was I, off and on in the same continent, with the person I had been romantically involved with since 2016 – 2020. Most are wondering or have asked, do you still have feelings for your X from 2009-2014 and the obvious answer is YES how could I not? when she was HUGE part of my life for 5 years but it’s a different kind of love this time. NO, she is not second best to anyone and neither am I trying to compare her to anyone from my previous relationships. It’s not a competition here. Point is, in the past 6 years, I have changed, grown and matured from 30-36 which means I am no longer the same person I was 6 years ago, obviously. Now, I do understand maybe some people don’t change and that’s fine and I’m not here to prove anything, so I’ll let my actions speak louder than my words.
So in saying all of this, my X from (2009-2014) knows from our long talk 2 weeks ago, that I have no expectations of her, as I have a lot of respect for her and the important role that she played in my life for so long. In any kind of relationship, whether romantic, friendships, family stuff etc… We all get upset/angry/hurt and it’s just that simple. When we love other human beings at whatever capacity, things happen and it sucks but eventually you have to move on and stop dwelling on the past. Focusing on the present is a lot healthier and realistic because as we all know, we can’t change the past sadly. My X from (2009-2014) is doing well and like I’ve said in my past threads/topics, all I wish for her is happiness and good health. If she decides she doesn’t want anything to do with me, I’m ok with that too. As my outlook is always about us having peace & happiness, that’s what matters most.
Currently my life is a bit hectic, as I’m in the process of having a home built and meeting with my realtor on Thursday, as we are in the beginning stages of all this. On the job front, I work out of state far away and waiting to hear something today from the governor, if my job is able to open back up this week. I’m VERY anxious to get back there to work, it’s been way too long to where, today I’m getting a business license to work here in my home-town for now. I”m not exactly thrilled but it’s been 6 months too long and the establishment is a place I never worked at/performed at, which is good. I’m nervous but it’s a hurdle I know I can get past… Plus I don’t have to commute by plane and can sleep in my own bed.
Life is life, right? ups and downs but I am staying positive and happy, that I am able to make a WAY better income again here in my home town, now that things have re-opened here. Preferrably rather be working out of state but I have to wait until the governor approves the re-opening out there.
Anyway, today is a very busy day for me, so I must sign off now. I wish you all a ton of love, peace and happiness on your journeys. Stay strong, stay confident, try not to over-think or over-stress, practice calmness and always be good to yourself and love yourself.
Seize the day,
Marie
