My dream is simple . . . a large house with a carriage house on the property where I live in service assisting young women to graduate from college and gain self-sufficiency. My reality is also simple. I currently live in a three bedroom Section 8 apartment and provide safe haven to three young people I cannot add to my lease. I have an immediate need to house 7 more. I was born to serve, I am called to mother. The gap between my dream and my reality seems too large to close. I am so tired of living in fear of eviction, but I can’t give up because I tell my daughters to never give up on their dreams. And seeing them succeed matters too much to me. I possess the commitment, process and patience to help a young woman transform her life and realize her Divine greatness. I just happen to be stricken by poverty. I know that there is a way for me to change my circumstance, I just don’t know what it is. I could use some encouragement and creative ideas to help me manifest my dream. http://about.me/peacefulpassenger

    Peaceful Captain,

Many cities have shelters and programs for homeless children. They might have access to information you could use, such as funding grants and other resources. When we dedicate ourselves to the betterment of all (including ourselves) it is helpful to connect with others who share a similar vision. They may have innovations to help so you don’t have to recreate the wheel!

    With warmth,
    Matt

That is a powerful goal and worthy of all of your efforts! I know things are tough right now, but look at how much you are already accomplishing. Progress is really just a matter of forward momentum, so you just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get to where you need to be. The most successful people aren’t the ones who are the most talented, they are the ones who are the most dedicated. If it truly is your dream, then you have to keep your mind away from those worries and negative thoughts, practice some positive thinking and get your mind focused on what you need to do. The reason you can’t see the path is because you are letting the cloud of negativity and worry about your future block your vision. Focus on moving forward and how it is going to feel when you accomplish your goal, don’t waste any time or energy on negative thinking, it doesn’t get us anywhere! I highly suggest diving into some deep meditation and getting back control of your thoughts, because that is the only way you are going to keep your mind disciplined enough to stay the course. I know you can do it, just keep moving forward! This website will continue to be an amazing source of strength for you. Also, I wrote two articles on my website that I think will help you get back on course. The first link is a simple meditation to get you back in control of your thoughts, and the second is an exercise that will let you use that new focus to find your way. Both of these exercises have changed my life, so I know they will help you if you commit to them. You will find your way, just stay the course, the path to success is paved in potholes!
