jockParticipantIt’s never too late to be immature, is my motto. My mantra.
Laugh at yourself especially. Our ego is hilarious if we really examine it with a laser.
It gets oversensitive , “little me” as Tolle calls it.
We can brood over past insults but if we look objectively, it’s only our precious ego that feels bruised and wants to dwell, dwell, dwell. When ever I get in a childish mood
I want to find words that rhyme with food
Forget the feud
Try not to brood
Even if you’re totally stewed
Have a beer that’s Aussie brewed
Make jokes that are lewd
But not quite crude
I don’t mean to be rude
Just want to allude
To my inner self prude
And my outer self nude-

SaiishaParticipantBrilliant – you really should consider publishing your poetry Jack! There’s not enough humor in spiritual literature 🙂

jockParticipantI’d like to say on behalf of my ego, thanks for boosting it to astronomical levels. It now thinks it can conquer the world!
Cheers though Saisha.November 16, 2015 at 6:17 pm #87698

jockParticipantOn behalf of animalistic abe I’d love a margarita pizza, a good one though, right now
On behalf of pious Pete, I’d like to feel as pure as I felt when I was a child, again
on behalf of childish Charlie I’d like to create another poemis this very second?
or the one just past
just as important
as the very next second?a “second” isn’t as important as a minute
otherwise it would be called a “first”
and a minute isn’t as big as an hour
it’s tiny
it’s mynootI try to live in the now
but it passes too quickly
my brain can’t keep up with time
and it’s getting slower every yearever noticed this poem doesn’t rhyme?
nor make much sense?
I don’t like it much
but I can’t be bothered editing.December 1, 2015 at 8:39 am #88627
AnonymousGuestThank you for the poem, Childish Charlie. I like it even though it doesn’t rhyme. Pious Pete is after the purity feeling of childhood? You remember feeling pure? That picked my curiosity: tell me about feeling pure as a child…?
Margarita pizza is the first pizza I ever had- that first time so many, many years ago- delightful!
