My roommate who is a retired Veteran usually likes the green juice from Whole Foods that I create but tonight it wasn’t for her. I built my own vegan tacos tonight at the tacquieria bar tonight at Whole Foods tonight as well. So I made a quick video tonight to show you all how I tried to encourage my roommate to have a little bit of my green juice from Whole Foods tonight while visiting my moms house tonight.
Anybody have any juice or smoothie recipes they would like to share?
February 29, 2016 at 11:29 pm #97701AnonymousInactiveAlso, I forgot to mention that I am buying local produce from my Farmers Market here in town and plan on going to get some more on Wednesday. So if anyone can send me some of their favorite recipes on here before I go the the outdoor farmers market this coming Wednesday, I’d really appreciate it. 🙂

2 favs (although I deviate with what’s on-hand):
3 carrots, 2 apples, 1″ ginger.
1 sweet potato, 1 carrot, 1 red bell pepper, 2 beets, 1 apple, 1 orange.March 1, 2016 at 2:10 pm #97772AnonymousInactiveHi Lsler
I love sweet potato! Apples, carrots, spinach and citrus.
I most definitely love Ginger too.
The only tiny problem is that I don’t seem to like beets 🙁 And I’ve tried them so many times but the earthy taste/dirt like taste, just doesn’t sit well with me. Bleh. I seem to like all other veggies, except for that one. Which is the best for you and kills cancer cells. I’m wondering if I were to mix the beets with Pineapple or Apple, that it will somewhat rid of the earthy taste.
What do you think?
March 2, 2016 at 10:45 am #97846LslerParticipantHmmm… what would de-dirt the beet taste, good questions. 🙂 I would think citrus would certainly help! I personally don’t like pineapple, but if you do, seems like it would help. I bet ginger would be a good combo too, or even try adding it to a gazapcho-esque mix (with tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, etc.; not for me, but some people like that route). There are so many wonderful options to choose from, so I don’t think that crossing beets off the list would be too detrimental.

That’s a shame you don’t like fresh Pineapple as there are so many amazing health benefits from it but we both understand what it’s like to not like a fruit/veggie that is good for us. Although, I am willing to try beet juice mixed in with something else. I’m thinking Pineapple will do for me. I never used to like gazpacho either until I tried it somewhere that made it light and not on the heavy side as far as texture/thickness, I can’t remember the place I had it at though. Damn. :/
I love red onions, tomatoes and cilantro! Yum… Have all those ingredients in my fridge right now.
Went to the farmers market today and bought some fresh produce and citrus, since my tree in my backyard ran out, from me using it every morning for my hot water and lemon morning elixir. I should start adding some raw honey and ginger to it from now on, since I have raw honey and ginger in my house too.
I also bought some fermented sourdough bread (called Noble Bread) at the farmers market and the lady said, that it’s really good for my digestion and low in calories. I did a little bit of research when I got home today on it and it seems to be legit but if you want to do some research on it too and let me know what your thoughts, I’d greatly appreciate it.
M.
