Founder Friday: Letters from Lori

Lori DescheneSince 2009, Tiny Buddha has been a place where people have shared honest stories about navigating life's challenges. In the beginning, I was one of them, often writing about my experiences overcoming depression, toxic shame, and childhood trauma.

I’ve been more behind the scenes with the blog for years, but I’m now ready to start sharing more regularly again.

While I'll continue publishing community stories on the blog Monday through Thursday—and anyone can receive those emails free of charge—you now have the option to sign up for my Founder Friday newsletter to get bonus content and help support the site.

Every Friday, I'll share a personal story or reflection about the challenges I'm navigating in my own life—including difficult relationships, major life transitions, emotional struggles, and the stress of trying to juggle it all—along with the lessons I've learned and insights I've gained from building Tiny Buddha for close to two decades.

Whether you’re navigating uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed by all you’re carrying, dealing with stressful relationship dynamics, or just looking to understand yourself and other people better, I have a feeling you’ll resonate with what I have to share. Especially if you've enjoyed the heart behind Tiny Buddha and the blog, which I’ve curated and edited from day one.

And for a limited time, you can get a free month to get a taste of what I have to share.

Your subscription includes:

  • A new personal email from me every Friday
  • Stories, reflections, and insights you won't find on the blog
  • Lessons from both my current life and my years building Tiny Buddha
  • A direct way to support the site and keep the blog going with minimal third party ads

Subscription: $5/month (first month free!)

Once you’re signed up, you can pause or cancel at any time, and you’ll receive the remaining emails for the month you’ve already paid for.

Thanks for reading, and for signing up if you’ve decided to join me for the start of my next chapter!

—Lori

I want these emails to be as valuable as possible, so if there are topics you'd love to see me explore—or tools that would make the newsletter even more helpful—please feel free to reach out to me at lori@tinybuddha.com.
