Gosh I just realised how complex the solution this article proposes is. It made me want to cry just a little bit.

So, as well as blogging, I create digital art. Here’s an example:

I would LOVE to get them printed up on great big pieces of fabric so people can hang them. Like poster size really. If anyone has any suggestions on how I might get the done, do let me know. I think spoonflower.com may be my only option (but I’m in the UK). And of course I’d love to do it ecologically.

    Hi everyone,
Really interesting topic. A couple of years ago I was a professional blogger for a company, and during that time I would plan about 70% of my blog posts ahead in an editorial calendar, with the rest being very spur of the moment.

However, something I did make sure I followed was seasonal trends. Since a good portion of the content I was writing back then was shopping-related this was really important, but I am thinking of applying something similar to my current blog. For example, I know that retreat season tends to be in the new year etc etc.

So far my content is totally unplanned. I just go with whatever book I’ve read or workshop I’ve been to. I think it will probably always be a little like that, but I do want to find a little more structure, especially when it comes to partnering with other bloggers or organisations.

    Hi Kavetha and all,
I’ve found that blogging about others’ work and helping to promote them brings me traffic, because a lot of the time the person or organisation I’m blogging about will share my article through their social media channels or their newsletter etc.

Obviously you don’t want to be blogging about others just for the sake of reaching their audience! I also do a lot of writing about people who don’t have particularly strong online presences. There has to be integrity with it, but if I get some reciprocal traffic then that’s great. 🙂
